We have just published second issue of of our newsletter Czech Business Today.

June issue is mostly devoted to the proposed directive on services in internal market. European Commission kicked off its revised draft in early April and at the end of May a deal was reached in the Council. The discussion is moving to the European Parliament. We look at this piece of EU legislation of paramount importance for European business from different angles. You will find positions of Czech business associations on the draft directive as well as the official position of the Czech government. Further more we explore the importance of services sector for the Czech economy.

You will find also articles on Sri Lanka – Czech Interprise, a successful project of international business co-operation implemented under the umbrella of Asia-Invest programme, and visit of Commissioner Verheugen in the Czech Republic.

And finally in the interview with Ernest-Antoine Seillière, president of UNICE, we look at the different challenges Europe and its businessmen and entrepreneurs are facing.
