European Business Association’s Lunch with Czech Presidency

 

 

On Wednesday 3rd December 2008 high level representatives of European business and employers associations met with Czech Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mr Martin TLAPA in Brussels in order to informally discuss Czech Presidency plans and priorities in the field of industry and trade.

 

During a very informal and vivid discussion many issues and policy areas have been discussed:

  • Czech position towards accession into the euro-zone
  • Current economic and financial crisis and Commission’s recovery plan
  • Follow-up of Small Business Act for Europe eumap.jpg
  • Process of legislation making and the means of involving representatives of businesses into this process as well as into the preparations of impact assessments
  • Market Access strategy and concrete EU project enhancing support infrastructure
  • Definition of European social partners
