• Ivona Oľhová, Policy Manager

    Ivona recently completed her master´s degree in the field of International Relations and European studies, from the Metropolitan University in Prague and she also holds a degree in South East European Studies from the Charles University in Prague. As a part of her territorial specialization, she undertook a research study at the University of Konstanz in Germany as well as exchange study in Zagreb, Croatia. In her graduate thesis she focused on nationalism in former Yugoslavia. Ivona has gained a professional experience as an Intern at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic where she worked in the Unit of International Cooperation in Energy. She is fluent in English, German, Serbo-Croatian, and to further broaden her language skills she took up studying French.

  • Sylva Eretová, Project and Policy Manager

    Sylva is currently enrolled in Master’s degree programme in European Studies at Aarhus University in Denmark. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree diploma in the field of International Relations and European Studies at Metropolitan University in Prague. Sylva spent one academic year studying Politics at University of Tampere in Finland. She gained work experience at internships undertaken in the UK and Spain. Sylva speaks fluent English and Spanish. She also has an intermediate level command of French and a passive knowledge of Finnish and Danish.

  • Karel Štros, Policy Manager (July–December 2016)

    Karel has freshly graduated from Bachelor studies with major in International trade at the Faculty of International Relations, University of Economics, Prague. His Bachelor thesis was dedicated to the regional differentiations of the Visegrad group countries in the context of the European Union. During his studies Karel attended summer schools of professional German langugage, which held in Poděbrady (CZ) and Cologne (DE). He gained work experience at the ČSOB Bank and at the Czech Chamber of Commerce, where he was active at the Foreign department. In the future Karel wants to deal with European issues.

  • Michaela Hnízdilová, Policy Manager (February–July 2016)

    Michaela recently obtained her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and European Studies at Metropolitan University of Prague. During her studies she has participated in several international conferences, where she gained a great deal of experience. She studied at Ghent University in Belgium for one semester as a part of programme Erasmus as well. After the internship at CEBRE, she wants to continue with master studies in international politics and law.

  • Jakub Dozaba, Project and Policy Manager (September 2015–February 2016)

    Jakub is a student of the last year of the Master’s degree of Law and Legal Science at the Palacky University in Olomouc. During his studies he obtained many professional experiences. Before he started an internship in CEBRE he was working in a law firm as a paralegal. Jakub´s interest in the field of European Law and European policy can be confirmed by selected topic of his thesis at the Department of International Law.

  • Andrea Hrubá, PR and Office Manager (September 2015–February 2016)

    Andrea has been studying Master´s Programme in International trade at the Faculty of International Relations of University of Economics in Prague, where she also obtained her Bachelor´s degree. Apart from her main field of study she has been also studying European Economic Integration. During her studies she worked as an intern on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in the department of EU Policies and Structural Funds. She also worked in a private sector as a marketing specialist in Czech Export Agency.

  • Alžběta Recová, Policy Manager (July 2015–December 2015)

    Alžběta is a student of the last year of the Master’s degree of Law and Legal Science at the Palacky University in Olomouc. She developed her English skill during her stay in UK in years 2009 – 2013, where she participated in a numerous working and study projects. She speaks fluently English, Spanish and she is able to speak several other languages as well. The national and European politics and law interests her in the long term, which she confirmed particularly through her participation in grant-aided projects and international conferences.

  • Tereza Sommernitzová, Project and Policy Manager (March 2015–August 2015)

    Tereza has been studying Master´s Programme in International trade at the Faculty of International Relations of University of Economics in Prague, where she also obtained her Bachelor´s degree. Apart from her major she has been also studying Diplomatic Practice minor. During her studies, she worked as a receptionist in Ford Motor Company in Prague, she worked for four months as an intern in the political section of the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations at Geneva and participated in Models UN in Germany and Hungary.

  • Barbora Menčíková, PR and Office Manager (March 2015–August 2015)

    Barbora has been studying Master´s Programme in International Relations and European Studies at Metropolitan University in Prague. She obtained her Bachelor´s degree in International Business at the same University. In her Bachelor´s thesis she focused on humanitarian aid of World Bank in developing countries. She is interested in this issues up to now and last year she became a member of Amnesty International team in Prague. She studied in Portugal during her Bachelor studies and after her final state exams she worked in Bohemia EU Planners, Ltd. in Brussels.

  • Bronislava Vráželová, assistant CzechTrade (March 2015–May 2015)

    Bronislava is a student of Master programme of International Relations at Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk Univerzity in Brno. She obtained Bachelor’s degree from International Relations and European Studies. She studied law for 5 months at Univerzidad de Zaragoza in Spain in 2012. During her studies she passed out an internship in Amnesty International and also in Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations, OSCE and other International Organizations in Vienna. In 2014 Bronislava was a head of section Field trips in Students Section of International Institute of Political Science of Masaryk Univerzity, where she organized three days field trip to International Organizations in Vienna. Since 2014 she has been working as a editor in academic journal Global Politics.

  • Klára Balounová, Project and Policy Manager (September 2014–February 2015)

    Klára has been studying two Master’s programmes European Integration at the University of Economics in Prague and Security and Strategic studies at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic. At both universities she obtained Bachelor’s degrees in International Studies – Diplomacy and Security and Law Studies. During her studies, she worked as a Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewer in the full-service agency STEM/MARK. She has been an intern in German company Dr. Meindl u. Partner Verrechnungsstelle GmbH in Nürnberg every year since 2011 for few months.

  • Mahulena Drakselová, Policy Manages (August 2014–December 2014)

    Mahulena has been studying Master´s programme in International and European relations at Linköping University, Sweden. She obtained the Bachelor degree at Metropolitan University Prague in the same field. She also studied one semester at the university in Sweden within the Erasmus program during her Bachelor studies. She focuses on security policy and European integration. She gained work experience in Production centre of The Czech Radio and in Atrium na Žižkově, where she worked as an assistant. In her free time, she is interested in studying languages, for example Swedish language.

  • Jana Radová, Policy Manager (September 2012–January 2013), Representative of CEBRE in Prague (January 2013–June 2014)

    Jana Radová has been studying the International Business Programme at the University of Economics in Prague. While studying the Bachelor Programe at the University of Economics, she was focusing on the field of International Business and the workings, policies and integration of the EU. She became interested in the impact of the financial crisis on EU member states which also became the topic of her bachelor thesis. Regarding her professional experience, she was working as a Contractual Specialist for the international company O2 Telefónica and as a Project Coordinator for the marketing company PPD services. In 2011, she did an Internship at the Finance and Insurance Services Department of the National Institute of Education. Since September 2011 untill the end of August 2012, she was working as a Sales Coordinator for the trading company Trade Concept, where she was managing the intermediation of business between Asian and European market. She also works for Skoda Auto and does Intership at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Prior to joining Prague office she completed an internship at CEBRE Brussels.

  • Lucie Svitáková, PR and Office Manager (Brussels: March 2014–August 2014)

    Lucie has been studying Master´s Programme in International trade at the Faculty of International Relations of University of Economics in Prague, where she also obtained her Bachelor´s degree. During her studies, she focused on International Business Negotiations and Protocol and the topic of development aid, therefore she tried to learn some less traditional languages, such as Chinese. She gained work experience in real estate agency and she dedicates her free time to studying sign language, tutoring and organizing summer camps.

  • Barbora Blažková, Project and Policy Manager (Brussels: March 2014–August 2014)

    Barbora obtained her Master´s degree in Law at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. She spent one academic year at the University of Jean François Champollion – Albi in France. During her studies, she gained her pratical skills in a law firm and a notary office in Prague. After graduating, she worked for a year in the EU Agenda Unit of the Legislative Department at the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic. She also participated in numerous courses in the United Kingdom.

  • Šárka Bittenglová, Policy Manager (Brussels: February 2014–July 2014)

    Šárka has been studying her Master´s degree in Law at the Faculty of Law of University of West Bohemia, where she works as a young academic researcher under the auspices of the Department of International Law as well. She focuses on international criminal law and humanitarian law. She is also interested in unfair competition and consumer protection. During her studies she participated in a course called „Comparative Legal Studies – Legal Enforcement of Justice” at the International Summer Language School in Pilsen. She was also an intern in a law office. Her other professional experience include organization of annual Czech-German summer camps for children.

  • Petr Martinec, Project and Policy Manager (Brussels: September 2013–February 2014)

    Petr obtained his Master’s degree in International Relations and European Studies at the Metropolitan University of Prague. Besides that, he holds Bachelor’s degree in political science. He spent one academic year at the University Saint-Louis in Brussels. During his studies, he worked two years as an Assistant of Member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic within the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on European Affairs. He also undertook a short traineeship at the Office of an MEP in the European Parliament. His area of ​​research interest is EU’s foreign policy and Institutional framework of European integration.

  • Adéla Dvořáková, PR and Office Manager (Brussels: September 2013–February 2014)

    Adéla has gained Master‘s degree in Media Communication at the Amos Komensky University in Prague. She is now studying European Integration at the University of Economics in Prague, where she has also successfully finished Bachelor´s programme focused on International Trade. Adéla took a part in one-year student exchange programme in the USA. Regarding work experience, Adéla has gained practical skills especially in the field of event management and internal communications. She worked as a Communications Specialist at RWE GasNet. She also did an internship at ŠKODA AUTO and at international insurance concern Vienna Insurance Group in Vienna. She is interested in topics dealing with the EU Energy Policy.

  • Petra Weselá, Policy Manager (Brussels: August 2013–January 2014)

    Petra Wesela has a Master degree from the University of Economics, Prague (Major: International Relations – Diplomacy, minor: International Business) and now is about to graduate from the Metropolitan University, Prague (major: International Relations and European Studies). Petra likes travelling. During her studies she participated in numerous specialized courses – in Netherlands, Germany, USA or Taiwan and she is interested in current China.

  • Tomáš Havelka, Project and Policy Manager (Brussels: March 2013–August 2013)

    Tomáš Havelka has been studying his last year of Political science at Palacky University in Olomouc. Next to it he has graduated at Law faculty of the same university and he has also undertaken a study exchange to the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. He has completed internships in Czech’s representative offices and he is a co-founder of one non-profit organisation promoting awareness about EU and opportunities provided by it to youngsters. Concurrently he is an intern in one of the most prestigious Czech’s think tanks.

  • Aneta Toboříková, PR and Office Manager (Brussels: March 2013–July 2013)

    Aneta has been studying International Politics and Diplomacy at the University of Economics in Prague, her minor specialization is European Integration. During her studies she worked at the Czech Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan as ambassador‘s assistent. She gained her working experience mainly in charitative organizations, summer camps and lecturing English and Mathematics.

  • Veronika Smělá, Policy Manager (Brussels: February 2013–July 2013)

    Veronika is currently engaged in Master’s studies at Faculty of International Relations of University of Economics in Prague. At the same time she helps to organise Prague Student Summit, a prestigious project of negotiations simulation for students. Apart from European affairs she openly admits affection for Japan – its culture, language, history and current economy.

  • Martin Sládek, Assistant in Prague (Prague: October 2012–February 2013)

    Martin studied Master’s programme at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. He worked for CEBRE as an assistant in Prague from October 2012. At the same time he as been working at the Czech Environmental Inspectorate – Department of Waste Management.

  • Kristýna Burešová, PR and Office Manager (Brussels: September 2012–February 2013)

    Kristýna is in her last year of Law and Jurisprudence studies at the Faculty of Law at University West Bohemia in Pilsen. During her studies she attended a Legal English course at International summer language school (University West Bohemia), General English Courses at schools in Sydney and Malta and she also worked for a law firm in Czech Republic. Kristýna worked in CEBRE since September 2012 till February 2013.

  • Veronika Jermanová, Project and Policy Manager (Brussels: September 2012–February 2013)

    Veronika Jermanová has successfully completed the master’s degree International Relations and European Studies at the Metropolitan University Prague in September 2012. During her studies she internships in lobbying organization located in Brussels and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic. During her studies apart from these activities she was working in one of the largest law and participated in the translation of books on biomechanics, as well as tutoring. Veronika worked for CEBRE in Brussels from September 2012 till February 2013.

  • Jakub Hudec, Assistant in Prague (Brussels: April 2012–August 2012, Prague: September 2012)

    Jakub has graduated in International Relations and European Studies at Metropolitan University Prague in February of 2012, where he wrote a thesis, which focused on the Lobbying regulation in the EU and compared the regulations of EU institutions with legal regulations of lobbying on the U.S. federal level. He spent one semester at the Viadrina University in Frankfurt am Oder as an ERASMUS student. During his studies he has worked on various administrative positions and also worked as an interpreter and an English language teacher. Jakub worked for CEBRE in Brussels from April till August 2012 then he worked at the Prague office during September 2012.

  • Ladislav Kucera, Policy Manager (Brussels: April 2012–August 2012)

    Ladislav studied Master’s programme Waste and its utilization at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, where he is still studying in the doctoral programme of Energetics. During his studies he went to USA every year and also was an intern at the Ministry of Industry and Trade – Department of Integrated Precaution. Before joining CEBRE he worked for the Czech Environmental Inspectorate – Waste Management Department and he still works as a consultant in the environmental issues.

  • Iva Stribrska, PR and Office Manager (Brussels: May 2012–August 2012)

    Iva obtained Master’s degree in Media Studies and Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communication and PR from Charles University in Prague. During her studies she spent three years as a Project Manager at the Association for Foreign Investment in the Czech Republic. She also worked as a coordinator of Czech Focus magazine at International Marketing Department at Business and Development Agency CzechInvest and was a part of summer joint project of Charles University and University of Missouri aimed on Film Experience Marketing. Before she has joined CEBRE in May 2012, she worked as a PR Manager and Broadcaster at the most listened to radio station in the Czech Republic, Radio Impuls.

  • Martin Pulpan, Assistant in Prague (Brussels: January–June 2009, Prague: September 2009–January 2010, October 2010–August 2012)

    Martin studied political science at the University of Hradec Králové. Currently he is studying fourth year at the Metropolitan University in Prague. He spent one semester at the oldest university in Hungary in the city of Debrecen within the programme Erasmus. Martin worked for CEBRE in Brussels from January till June 2009 then he worked at the Prague office from September 2009 to August 2012.

  • Lucie Kuncova, PR and office manager (Brussels: March–April 2012)

    Lucie is currently studying final semester of the Master programme at the Faculty of Law at the Palacky University in Olomouc. During her studies she worked as an assistant at the Department of Constitutional and Public International Law. In 2010 she spent one semester at the Paris-Lodron University in Salzburg in Austria within the programme Erasmus. From September 2011 to February 2012 she had been working as a trainee at the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and affiliates in Brussels office, which is focused on EC Competition Law.

  • Eva Strouhalova, Policy Manager (Brussels: September 2011–March 2012)

    Eva graduated in Master‘s degree programme International Territorial Studies at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. During her studies she worked for an Italian company, for language school as a lecturer of Italian and English or for the Conference FORUM 2000 in Prague. In 2010 she spent one semester at the University of Ghent in Belgium, where she studied Dutch and especially worked on her thesis in collaboration with the Department of Third World Studies.

  • Michaela Davidova, Communication and Project Manager (Brussels: September 2011–March 2012)

    Michaela has graduated in International Relations and European Studies at Metropolitan University Prague. She spent one semester at Ghent University (Belgium) studying European studies as an Erasmus student and extended her knowledge on LSE Summer School 2010 and various other programmes. During her studies she worked for a Czech bank Komerční banka in the Dept. of Outstanding debts enforcement. She also spent three months as an intern in Czech Centre London in 2011.

  • Zuzana Vacková, PR and Office Manager (Brussels: October 2011–February 2012)

    Zuzana has graduated in Law and Jurisprudence at University West Bohemia in Pilsen. During her studies, she followed a Legal English course at International summer language school (University West Bohemia) and worked for several law companies such as Havel, Holásek & Partners (Corporate law Department) and Perthen, Perthenová, Švadlena a partneři s.r.o. (a traineeship). In 2007, she spent 3 months in Oregon, USA within the Work and Travel program. Zuzana worked in CEBRE from October 2011 until February 2012.

  • Jan Nezkusil, Communication and Project Manager (Brussels: July 2011–September 2011)

    John has just completed a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and European Studies at Metropolitan University Prague. He will continue his Master at the same university. Between 2009 and 2010 he participated in the preparation of electoral Parliamentarian campaigns in the Czech Republic.

  • Vaclav Kantor, Personal Assistant to the Director (Brussels: June–September 2011)

    Vaclav is currently studying on a Bachelor`s Degree programme in Global Business and Management at the NEWTON COLLEGE a.s. in Brno. Prior to this, he worked and studied English language at the Milton College in Sydney, Australia, where he obtained Cambridge ESOL certificate. He also worked for a couple of Czech and international companies during his studies. Vaclav speaks English and has been actively studying Russian and Spanish.

  • Ondrej Rutkovsky, PR and Office Manager (Brussels: April–September 2011)

    He graduated in Political Science and Sociology (bachelor degree) at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University (Brno, the Czech Republic). Currently, he is studying for a Master in Political Science at the same faculty. In 2009, he spent four months in the U.S. working for Liberty Rentals Company. In 2010, he spent five months at Slovenian University in Ljubljana studying political science.

  • Alice Ambrozova, Communication and Project Manager (Brussels: December 2010–September 2011)

    Alice finished her Bachelor degree at College of Banking and she is currently studying last year of Master program at the same University. During her studies she has worked for international companies. Alice attended half-year English and French courses in Brussels and she still take French lessons.

  • Lucie Zídková, Personal Assistant to the Director (Brussels: February 2011–June 2010)

    Lucie completed the Bachelor degree in Foreign Languages for Commercial Purposes at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. During the last 3 years she had been working for a private company in Prague. To gain a foreign culture experience she spent 3 months in England in 2007. Lucie can speak English, Frencg, German and has a basic knowledge of Russian. She joined the CEBRE team in Brussels in February 2011.

  • Petr Smolik, Office Manager in Brussels (Brussels: November 2010–March 2011)

    Petr graduated at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen with major in Internetional Relations. During his studies he worked for two German companies, and spent several months working and learning in Germany. He speaks English, German and would like to learn French. Petr has been working for CEBRE since November 2010.

  • Ludmila Kloboučníková, Personal Assistant to Director in Brussels (August 2010–January 2011)

    Lída is currently studying the second year of International Relations and European Studies at the Metropiltan University Prague. She has been working for an international company and she also spent one year working in Cyprus and Netherlands. She speaks English and studying French actively. Lída has been working for CEBRE since August 2010.

  • Zuzana Bartková, PR and Project Manager (Brussels 2010)

    Zuzka is in her last year of European Integration studies at University of Economics in Prague. Currently, she is studying as an Erasmus student at the Université Catholique de Louvain. She cooperates with Czech think-tank Association for International Affairs where she also works as a member of their European research program.
